This car provided a mixed bag of results for Ferrari. It was leading the Mille Miglia at a record pace when it was retired because of mechanical issues. It placed second at the Nurburgring event. It was a DNF ( did not finish ) at Le Mans. Phil Hill drove it to a first, first, and third at three races in the Nassau Speed Weeks series.
You sure know how to find them, Tom. Your pics and narrative are always beautiful and informative. This car is wonderful.
Did I hear that they are going to quit building ICE and switch to EV's?
Great set of a great marque, Tom.

Thanks for your support Mel.
It's insightful you mention that I know how to find these exciting things. Well, I might as well fess up. I house an internal alarm system that, I think, is located in one of my kidneys. When I have to pee real bad, it doesn't seem to work as well. In any event, when the alarm goes off, there's a locator function in my brain that starts wailing and I'm generally led right to the target....barn, car, whatever.
Too many of these episodes in a short period of time, however, can be very tiring. The best antidote for me is to go somewhere, lie down, and breakout the tequila. Ain't life grand?
It's one of the few cars that looks like it's going fast, even when it's sitting still. Thanks for the nice pictures.

Hey, Toby.
You hear all kinds of rumors. It's going to take some quantum leaps forward in battery life and speed of recharging if anything like that is to occur, unless they can convince the public to accept races limited to 50 miles.
I appreciate the visit.

Thanks for looking in.
You don't see this kind of stuff very often, and when I do I love to share it.

I hope so too, Tom, thanks for asking.
Wow! I was at the Ring race when that car competed! Probably even have a photo of it in my files. Beautiful machine then and now.
