Already apologized Paul, just making a point and doubling down on the silliness of the idea that the extra contacts on a lens adapter magically delay or reduce the signal from the camera to the lens. Regarding the brand, my company nameplate is on the audio amp

No worries. The idea was borderline interesting, another flavor of 'why' fear mirrorless and the wider 'new'. I've made my own finger painting on the pages that followed ....

Apparently, we have moved on from whether the ftz and ftz2 have a motor, inbuilt, to control the diaphragm actuator.
Thank goodness.
That was an easy one, it’s a fact that the motor exists.
I am not an electrical engineer, so I won’t touch any of those statements.

FTR: I get better quality images from my trinity f mount glass, as an example, when used on my Z9, than on my D850.
It is a better sensor, and… it adds IBIS, to the mix.
If there is a slow down, caused by the adapter, I have never encountered it.
I shot 10fps last week with the 70-200 FL-E f2.8 lens, using the ftz2, mounted on the Z9. And I could not have been any happier with the images.

So, while you guys keep arguing,
I have two events to shoot tonight.
Which is all that matters!!

If it wasn't clear, most of us are uninterested in the ongoing equipment bragging. Scanning your profile, I only find pictures of equipment, not pictures. Have fun tonight!!

FYI, I spent a dozen years at Tektronix as a Field Engineer measuring sub nanosecond rise time signals. We built the world’s fastest digitizer used to acquire the EMP from nuclear blasts and sampling scopes digitizing rise times in the tens of picoseconds for the development of Fibre optic cables by Corning Glass and GHz connectors by Amp, all of which were my customers. I’ve been an amateur radio operator (extra class at present) since the 50s and held an FCC first class license and taught electronics and computer repair in the military. I do amateur satellite work at HF, VHF, UHF and GHz frequencies and design my own amplifiers and antennas. I’ve also designed and built audiophile class audio amplifiers on a professional basis. If you doubt what I’m saying, I’m attaching an image of my 144 MHz, HF and audio amps which I designed and built to demonstrate to you that I don’t think there’s much you have to teach me about fast signals, transmission lines, picosecond edges or GHz RF.

Sorry to hijack this thread temporarily to demonstrate that I walk what I talk.

Cheers,

Woooo-Hoo ! ......no low voltage digital communication ???

So, as long as you are hijacking, ......I was a a crypto maintenance tech for the Army Security Agency ......not that it really matters, not that it is really pertinent except for those who think I may know nothing of what I talk about

Well, if you'd said 'Army Intelligence', we'd be more impressed ...

Interesting, so you know who Tektronix is. Where were you stationed?

As for digital communication: https://www.qrz.com/db/K4CKB (all digital modes from AMTOR to APT to PSK31, FT8 and JT65 - note the 2 DSP modems in the station console)

Cool. The NSA was my customer for many years (we provided the storage for the Carnivore program), but I know zero about crypto.

I don’t post my photos, because I respect the privacy rights of my clients. I am a professional photographer, and the musicians that I shoot, prefer to control their online image, as best as possible.
I would never presume to post a photo that was not implicitly approved by them.
I believe that you would be very impressed by my clientele.
So, yes, I only share photos of equipment and advice, on this board.
Therefore, you have no reason to question what I choose to share.
I didn’t realize that this board was meant to put people down, which you do, quite often. Really not helpful, for those who come here for sage advice.
I try to share helpful information, if I believe it will help.
I don’t need to put anyone down, or question their abilities.
