We did the N. rim and also drove down to Lee’s ferry where I initiated my 2 week float down the canyon, several years ago. What a spectacular place to visit.
It is spectacular! I've never floated the Colorado river. I have canoed the Green River through Canyonlands NP a few times. That's a great trip! No rapids!!

Thanks, Jack! I've travelled extensively in the world. There are some beautiful places all over the world, but IMHO nothing beats the United States for scenic beauty! Of course, I'm still looking, so I might have to amend that statement someday. But I don't think it will happen anytime soon!!
