Colored nail polish is also great for many uses. Marks the upside to plugs so I do not have to try both ways. Marks start button on washer, dryer, and dishwasher because he cannot remember. Color coded to match the room.

Right. I use colored markers for that.

Speaking of Keurig, I hardly ever bought K-cups, instead used the refillable ones I bought along with my own preferred coffee blends. Worked especially well at work when they ran out.

These come in two varieties: direct K-cup, and a larger one that requires you to remove the receptacle insert.

Caveat: I stopped following the Keurig 2 story, so the refillable ones won’t work in it.

Yes! It costs me about $0.08 per 12 oz. cup of coffee. Here's a tip for the refillables. Fill a refillable cup to the correct level and then mark that point with a Sharpie. Dump out the coffee and cut along the Sharpie line. You now have a perfect measuring cup for the refillable. The lids will break off after many uses, but I just put them back on.

When I sharpen/clean infrequently used tools like a hatchet or garden implement, I apply clear nail polish on the newly polished metal which prevents rust in storage.

I use colored nail polish for many things.
Ive trays are painted on one end- as long as they alternate I have ice.
Tiny dots show me where PC fans are located- and which end matches.
My phone charge cables ayto show me - this end up.
I don't always see which corner is #1 on PC connections. That dot does.
And yes- great loctite and wood screw helper.

I've never used the $10 descaling solution they sell. White Vinegar does the trick and is much cheaper.

After daily use, many buttons get their writing or paint worn away through constant touching by fingers. It occurred to me that applying clear nail polish before the wear begins might protect the button/writing/paint. I ordered a $2.00 bottle of clear polish from Amazon, and I'm going to start applying it today. It's too late for the "Go" button on my Keurig, but I'll apply it to other buttons and see how it works.

Speaking of the Keurig, this one began acting up, and it continued acting up, eventually getting worse. I ordered a new one from Amazon. The day it arrived, the original Keurig began working perfectly. It knew it was about to be discarded!

I have had 2 Ks act up and after new purchase they worked. Now I have spares.

Definitely. It's the same with my washing machine. I can buy a special "cleaner" to run through it after every fifty washes, or I can substitute a cup of Clorox.
