An absolutely gorgeous series of images, I love the fall colors and the even lighting the overcast conditions provide. Beautiful, fun work.

Great shots, but I disagree, old steamers look best in shades of grey. Grew up around them, never saw a sepia colored engine. Kinda like a rainbow in sepia.

Very nice. I have been on this train in a perfect weather day and took a bunch of pictures. Only problem is that it was too early in my photography life. I wish I could go back today.

I don't understand how you got these pictures. Obviously you were off the train for several. Did it stop for you?

On our fall colors tour we stopped and checked out the train again. The weather did not hold out and at the end I got a bit wet....
While we were waiting for a train to leave we were talking with one of the guys who drives the little follow cart and it started really raining so he let us step into the old Depot and this phone was on the wall. The building is just a storage building now, but had some old photos and furniture stacked up. Sort of interesting to see what was just left behind.

No.2 - Wowzers - a stunner ! ....on all, thanks for sharing

Really nice photos in spite of the weather. We've ridden the steam driven train in West Virginia to the top of one of their highest mountains (all of 4,000 feet high) and the weather was similar but the trip not as scenic as yours.
BTW, I believe the title of the gentleman leaning out the window of the engine is "engineer".

I love your pictures, whether in Sepia or Whatever! I also like your span of subjects, I love wildlife but I am a fan of old steam locomotives. And your landscape pictures makes you want to be there
Thank yo for your pictures!
Poul.
