Just think, if everything was mail order and there were no stores, we'd never have to leave the house.
We wouldn't even have to go to a destination to get a souvenir, just mail order one.
Think of all that gas we would be saving!!!!!

(I hope the food store guy picks out good peaches and cantaloupe for me.......)

Mail order delivery may mean a lot more to people who are handicapped . . . and to those of us who are old and need to make a major effort to go anywhere!

I don't understand why people continue to go to brick and mortar pharmacies when you can get prescriptions by mail.

My pharmacist keeps an eye out for his customers; such as when there might be an interaction between meds or a better generic version. Only a 15 minute drive away.

The exception?

But they've probably always done it, nothing new there.

When I have to pick up a RX, there are always different people behind the counter - Walmart now.

I use Humana medicare mail-order pharmacy, and they have pharmacists on staff who do the same thing. They actually informed my doctor that people with diabetes should be taking a statin even if they don't have high cholesterol.

why can't they bring it from the kitchen or medicine cabinet to my bedroom on days I don't want to get up?

The phrase, "Physician, heal thyself" comes to mind. The local store says it will be business as usual while the process continues. Rite-Aid will probably rearrange itself and stay in business. Without Rite-Aid, CVS will have more control of the market.

We use the Vons Pharmacy (Safeway to you in the East). They have not gotten busted for Fentanyl or Oxycodone yet as far as I know. We used to get our meds at Costco, but they don't seem to play well with Medicare Part D (pricing).

Typically during sell offs...no matter the industry...

If the buyer keeps the brand name...they intend to revitalize that company.

If the buyer changes the name...don't expect much.

Thank goodness this is part of the green initiative. We are cutting green house gases by getting the antiquated fossil fuel cars off the roads from shopping, short hops, and selling people Tesla golf carts whilst having at home deliveries of virtually everything.

CVS mails a 3 month supply of meds on time consistently. Just sit at home and work or play with no fuss.

Remember Rite Aid bought out Thrifty Drug, who had the best ice cream stand, small electronics section and kids toys in the 50's/60's. I bought my first camera at Thrifty's. A Kodak Instamatic 135.

Times change everything, not just cameras.

My independent pharmacy also provides vaccines and we have a 25 year relationship with the pharmacist.

I haven't been in a Thrifty's in decades. They were great.

Maybe to help keep stores open?

If we got everything by mail/delivery, we would no longer need stores.....

Plus, she’d have a lot more people unemployed, and it is in our best interests to have low unemployment numbers.

Huh, do they really deliver to Mars.
Also, I just ordered a $10 thermometer from Amazon. I live rural so I can’t imagine that that too much of the green initiative saved our planet in this case.
Delivery service shopping companies are only interested in the bottom line. They don’t actually care about the color green unless it involves money.
