I really appreciate that Timothy. I’m glad you like them. They weren’t really cooperative that day though.

Came down to Texas to see my grandson play his senior year of football before heading to serious football next year in college. I also wanted to meet up with some old friends to hunt a few Odes. These are a few of the ones I got to photograph. Hope you enjoy them. They are a male and female Roseate Skimmer. and a male and female Checkered Setwing.

Hi Karin! Thanks for the comment. They’re still flying down here in Texas. Lots of them are migrants from up home. When I get home it will be the long wait until next season

Thanks for looking in and commenting CC. Some will look right at you and move their heads as if they want a better look and others are quite wary.

Hey Pat! So nice to hear from you. I thought about you the other day. We are staying in Round Rock this whole month to watch the G-son play his senior year of football before heading off to Rice next year. We left 90’s and came down to that here and now it’s 80’s-60’s back home. Very nice the last few days. Thames care

Thank you Lee. They were pretty skittish most of the time. Different species will ,at times, sit and let you get some good shots.
