Came down to Texas to see my grandson play his senior year of football before heading to serious football next year in college. I also wanted to meet up with some old friends to hunt a few Odes. These are a few of the ones I got to photograph. Hope you enjoy them. They are a male and female Roseate Skimmer. and a male and female Checkered Setwing.

I appreciate the comment Chief. Yes these are what I would have expected to see in this area at this time of the year. They have migrants arriving from up North and migrants are still in the area before moving Sourh.

Hey Dave! You'd love it down here if your objective is to shoot dragons. The hiking, as you can imagine is not really colorful after they've been broiled all summer. The place is lousy with the migrating Black Saddlebads and Common Green Darners. Hope to get out Saturday morning to meet a few more!
