So I'm not alone then!!! That is also my only vice, I have 7 Rolexes (Bought my first one way back in 1973 in Innsbruck, Austria) plus, I have two Cartier watches in my collection.
I have some watches I would be happy to sell you.
[quote=Wallen]I think I just caught the worst case of GAS.
I only have 2 pieces for many years & 4 in the previous 5, but just the last 40 days, it blew to a couple of dozen and i'm itching for more...
I like watches also, and wear one all the time. I'm up to 28 now.
My cheapest is a plastic $12 watch from Walmart that I wear when doing yardwork. Despite all the banging around it gets, I can't seem to scratch it or break it.
My most expensive is a Tonino Lamborghini. Beautiful PVD gold triangular watch. Hard to read though.
I have the same problem, I have 46 watches at the moment.... and 8 cameras 22 lenses.... if you find a cure let me know LOL...
Oh and three boats 38 fishing rods.....

I see you are just getting started! LOL. Keep up the good work. I have added pens and Steuben glass to my collections. My wife collects hippos.

For me, its the knife collection where the cheapest ones get the most love.
This watch-amacallit, Horrorlogy? Just happened too darn fast. In the photo I've posted, there are some watches that have not used, which include the cheapest one.
When I was younger, I feel naked without a watch. That changed when the celphones become the norm and they have better time. I was really shocked with myself with this sudden urge buy watches.

Collecting gold bars is better than gold coins. They charge too much for minting, it double or even triple the price compared to the amount of metal the coin have.
In bars, the overhead is much smaller that one gets more bang for the buck.
1 gram, 5 gram bars can be bought but their overhead is bigger compared to the price of the actual gold so when buying bars, bigger is better. At least 10 grams and above.
Grams? Grams?!? Kilogram or nothing! I need a classy door-stop...
