One of the more interesting paing jobs of the aircraft in Reno was this warhawk. Specfically the shark teeth. The teeth are often seen on fighters, even today. I think the yellow number is a decal, as each racer in the event needs a number. There is no 'painted' number on the aircraft - which tells me that this aircraft is more of a show plane than racer. Would not like to see this paint job ruined. I don't recall seeing it here before. Kudos to the team for showing up at the last event.

The RAF and other Commonwealth flyers in North Africa did it first and the "Flying Tigers" adapted the shark mouth after seeing a picture of a P-40 with the shark mouth.
