When we were young we would go up there quite often. There was no interstate and the parking was very different.

That area is full of caves due to the limestone formation. The Fairy Caves just up from Glenwood Springs has turned into a mega tourist attraction. It was private property even back in the early 60s, but that didn't stop us from climbing up there and sneaking in.
