There’s too much light here. You’re blowing out the contrasts. Either shoot at smaller aperture or faster shutter speed or lower ISO. Hold two of them constant and vary only one variable. Usually f/8 or f/11 will provide most lenses’ sharpest images. If you intentionally under expose and then adjust in post processing, you’ll find your sweet point. Have fun.
It was smokey where I live. Was shooting over a shopping mall and had a bunch of light pollution too. Z9, 800mm PF, tripod and gimbal. First time using this combo.
well, the moon wasn't "blue" enough, so I helped it a bit! ;) (8/30/2023)
