Enjoyed the variety as parts of the whole; especially #7 & #8.
When were the subjects built? Have seen, lived in, some places like that, esp the stairs directly up against the door. The three chimneys on the house could burn a lot of wood.
Nice collection of emotional shots.
These are great! Your skill shines through. I especially like #1, 4 and 7.
Interesting photos; the boat with the ducks is my favorite.
All are good, but #1,5,7 would be my choices to hang in a gallery.
Great set! I really like the next to last photo of the dory next to the Lighthouse.

They say that getting there is half the fun, and often I agree. But once you're 'there', "fun" can become something rather..... oh, I don't know.
Some might say they're 'from the archives'. And in one sense they are. Realistically, though, they're from an ever-present now.
Two places in Maine. With a 'selfie' and a half.
Wonderful images, Cany! I’m especially intrigued by the first one - tells us about it.

Excellent series, Jim, your focus and composition are spot on.

What software creates these effects?
Topaz Impression 'effects' were applied to images #1 and #8. In #1, I used a preset (that I'd modified) called 'Black Silk', in #8 I used one of the 'Edward Hooper' painterly effects. In both cases, the 'effects' were applied onto duplicate layers made after initial processing adjustments had been addressed, first in Lr then secondarily in Ps. After further modifications (decrease in opacity levels, changes in blend modes, alterations in color palette, etc.) on both the base and duplicate layers were made, the layers were merged and additional global or local tweaks were made, mainly in Ps.
It probably took me longer to figure out how to write the above than it took to do the actual process.

So...a selfie? Are you actually a pair of boots, Cany??
You nailed it, Cheef. I actually AM a pair of boots! Neither more nor less.

There are a lot of worse things you...I...any of us, could be!

I expect you want to know about how the image was processed, amirite? Assuming that's so, Stan, please see the reply I wrote to ImageCreator (above). The image I posted is of a type I used to do a lot, and still sometimes do, but far less frequently. I think of these kinds of images first as 'abstractions', and secondarily as digital 'manipulations'. A lot of this results, I'm sure, from having first been one who painted before having taken up camera work.
If otherwise, the (actual, unmodified original) scene is typical of a million such scenes one could encounter in any of a thousand towns along the coast of Maine. If, of course, you were up and out with a camera --or even if you were up and out
without a camera-- a little before dawn in a place called Port Clyde.
Though the particular combination of elements on that particular pre-dawn morning were completely new to me, I'd already seen the scene dozens of times previous, having been there many times before.
