When were the subjects built? Have seen, lived in, some places like that, esp the stairs directly up against the door. The three chimneys on the house could burn a lot of wood.

Nice collection of emotional shots.

Oddly, I never thought to ask when 'The Trailing Yew' --the inn where I'd stayed many times, the inn where the owner (before she'd passed) and most of the staff had been long time friends, and the place where I'd sat at the top of the stairs, with a little P&S camera in hand, waiting for a certain person to arrive-- was built, but I'd guess it was built in the 1870's or thereabouts.

I do, on the other hand, know when the house shown in the last of this set of images --the home of painter/photographer S. P. Rolt Triscott --was built. I likewise know when the painting he painted (please see the accompanying reproduction) of his house and garden, but I ain't sayin'.

They say that getting there is half the fun, and often I agree. But once you're 'there', "fun" can become something rather..... oh, I don't know.

Some might say they're 'from the archives'. And in one sense they are. Realistically, though, they're from an ever-present now.

Two places in Maine. With a 'selfie' and a half.

So... you take great shots outside of Utah too?
