Sorry for your loss
I know the feeling all to well

Thank you, Frank. I know we are not alone. I just tried to make it just about Brady, but in the end you realize we're all in it together with our partners.

Let me add our sense of your loss of Brady and how the death of a dog hurts big time. Dogs are the most precious and special of animals and how we never fully get over their loss.

When I met my Jeannie, just before Christmas, 2007, she was rescuing dogs off the streets in San Carlos, Mx., and there were more than 20 around her. In 2010 we came through the US border with 16 dogs, much to the amusement of the local officer, who said he had never seen so many dogs. I had medical certificates for them all but we got waived through without the paperwork being inspected. Now, here in Merlin, we are down to just 3 of them.

Appreciate your generosity, Paul. Hard to understand why so many don't get it when you see/hear of stray, abandoned or neglected pets. Tip of the cap to you and Jeannie. I'm sure you are equally rewarded for your efforts.

We feel your loss.
I believe that God allows us to feel the loss of our pets, as a (possible), loss of human friends, later on in life. Humans do not enjoy loss, at any time.
Bless you, ‘friend’.

We made our way to get a new pup. Before I could get to the litter to choose, one of them decided to walk over to me and sit right between my feet. Clearly he was telling me that he was the one. From the start he was comfortable with anything and anyone around him. No matter what the situation, it was his pleasure and he made it ours. He loved strangers and playmates of all kinds - even taking selfies with them. You could hide his toys anywhere and he had an amazing sense to find them. He was a gentle soul who enriched our hearts for nearly 14 years. Brady surrendered to a medical condition he endured for a couple of years without ever showing an ounce of complaint. Some days its tough to walk without him by my side, but no sympathy is needed because he left us with too much joy. Instead, give your pets the unconditional love they give you for as long as you are so blessed.

So sorry for your loss. I am happy, though that he brought you so much joy over the years he spent with you. We have lost many furry friends in our married life, but the joy of having such a close relationship with them far outweighs the grief of losing them.

Sincerely sorry for your loss. We lost our beloved dog just over a year ago. I miss him every day, especially when I take my morning walk. Dogs are one of God's gifts to we humans.
