So sorry to hear that! We had chatted here often, and my wife and had the privilege to dine with him and Dora in Scottsdale on our last visit to Phoenix--such great company! I shall miss him, his great photography knowledge, his witty conversations, and his being a friend. So sad!

I'm very, very sad to hear he is gone!
Bob was an EXCELLENT photographer. His work and his advice were an inspiration to many, and he will certainly be missed here.
A couple of years ago, he looked me up on the Internet and called me, out of the blue. We talked for an hour or so about all sorts of things. He was obviously a great guy who would do a lot for a fellow photographer, and probably anyone who needed help.
RIP, Bob.
I am so sorry to hear that, Bob was a source of inspiration to me and taught me a lot about editing monochrome images. I called him the CloudMaster because of his skill in capturing/rendering beautiful clouds. Once I received a surprise package from Arizona, and was thrilled to find it held a beautiful print of one of his landscapes I had admired, with those fabulous clouds. It hangs in my living room.
Our online friends as just as "real" as the ones who live nearby, and they can bless our lives in special, lasting ways.

RIP Bob.
I interacted with him a few times. He always took time to help with questions I had and I admired his work very much.

Thank you, AZPicLady, for keeping up with our UHH friends. It is sad to lose a member, especially one who wrote with respect and knowledge like Bob. I did not know him, but read his comments and enjoyed his work. He surely will be missed here.
AzPicLady, thank you for letting us know. If you have any contact with Bob's family please be sure to let them know how much he was liked and respected and he will be very much missed. I truly liked his work and his willingness to help others. He even offered once to spend time shooting with me if I were ever in his area. Unfortunately for me I'm on the other side of the country and never made it to AZ

Absolutely stunned by the news. Bob's presence on this website will be missed by many. Of all the members I don't think Bob ever had a an unkind word and was always honest and helpful, providing insight, construtive criticism and wit. Goodbye friend until we meet again. RIP Bob. -Jim
