You're on the right track. Rather than watching random YouTube videos, pick an instructor and follow straight through.

Lynda.com gives you a month for free. Whoops! Lynda.com is now Linkedin Learning.

I have mentioned this in a previous post. Many local library systems offer patrons free at home access to Linkd-In Learning. I have taken over 60 hours of courses on many subjects and have found the content, instructors and production standards to be very high. They update the offerings on a regular basis. You cannot beat the price and convenience.

I have been following MattK for two years now and have several of his courses. I have also met him in person and have gone on a couple of shoots with him. He is not, according to him a professional photographer. I can tell you this he is very very good. Matt is a professional teacher and that’s a fact. Now to the point. Matt’s Photoshop course is trimmed down to photography. It’s geared toward the photographer and you will learn a lot about PS. Go to MattK.com and watch the sample of his PS lessons. Good luck in your photography journey.
