Which camera to take on cruise

There ya go. That's why we have insurance, that's right. Things break, get lost/stolen, etc.

I recently saw a show on a cruise ship going through the "Northwest Passage" in Canada. The professional photographer had a Nikon system and what looked like a 600 lens. There were people using phones and probably everything in-between. I would take what you like the most.

I'll bet his 600 got better eagle and whale photos than anyone with their iPhone or point-and-shoots.
