Singer Demi Lovato says we should not refer to extraterrestrials (people living in other parts of the universe) as aliens. It's a derogatory term, and we should use something else. I don't think she's come up with that word yet - maybe just "extraterrestrials." I think that would be offensive, too. It's categorizing them in relation to the earth. Now we know why aliens who come to earth always want to kill us.

It's hard to imagine a planet of intelligent creatures that are worse than humans.

I read somewhere another reason "extraterrestrials" haven't made it to earth (if you don't believe they have) is that any "intelligent" creature that has advanced to the point where they possibly could travel that far has probably destroyed themselves or their own planet. Not a very uplifting thought, but it makes sense in a way.

I also figure that if any aliens show up, they need to be polite to us and not the other way around. They are on our turf after all. And the aliens better hope they don’t taste like chicken or else we will be eating them.

There is nothing wrong with the word "Alien". What is wrong is what a lot of people mean when they use the word.

One thing humans will never have to worry about is being attacked by people from other planets. There are none.
