Very cool! I think I saw the same clouds. I wish now I would have gotten my camera out!

Thanks Jill. I"m obsessed with clouds. They were every where yesterday.

I think the first pics are mammatus clouds that are formed by sinking rather than rising air. 🤔 (My deep thought for the day!)
I always find them interesting. Nice pics 😊

Thanks Just Ducky!!

Thanks Bob, yes, they do call the Great Lakes inland seas.

Had strong storms move thru late this afternoon. Unusual cloud formations afterwards.
I went nuts just had to share. About 2 hour time frame.

Awesome clouds! Mammatus can be scary sometimes too. But the rays at the end speak of relief in sight!

I went to Reno this weekend and met up with my 6 other brothers to celebrate a 70th for one of them. We took a trip around Tahoe but unfortunately met with clouds, rain and snow squalls. This was supposed to be a look at Emerald Bay. No look, but an interesting landscape with the swirling snow and the greyed out background.

I just have to make a comment on William's captures and style... I really have to admit I don't quite understand the language but there is NO denying the creativity and freshness of his images. Without blowing smoke up his backside I think his visions and execution are off the charts. I wish I could SEE into my images nearly as well... I think William's stuff is some of the best on this site... NOW, I have said it, so banish me to somewhere... Hopefully with cookies, milk and a warm bed !

I will NOT banish you, Mr. Bob!! There are many who agree with you - I am one of them. Incredible talent to "see" images as Bill does and process them in such different ways. Bill is one of the UHH gems who has influenced a lot of us! Your comment is, IMHO, on target and well deserved.

Maine has several Amish communities. This past week a friend and I visited a new settlement close by. Their greenhouses were gorgeous and a beautiful sight after weeks of rain.

I loved these vines.
