Don’t give the Admin any ideas. Right now, when a violation is committed, you are dragged up 39 steps by your ankles. As a result you bang your head all the way up. If you are sent to the basement, the Admin just pushes you down the stairs and you are more likely to break several bones and suffer many contusions.

Your comment made me laugh. Love it.

I don't understand why we even have this section on a site dedicated to photography.
Those who need this type of interchange can surely find plenty of opportunities elsewhere on the internet.

Why have General Chit Chat either?

UHH is a business, money-making enterprise for the owner (user name Admin). With the tools for subscribing/unsubscribing and then following only "newest topics" it's easy to avoid any section that is offensive or not of interest.

I prefer avoidance to having to pay for the privilege of being here

It was formed to keep heated political arguments out of Chit Chat. , it is kept because it is a source of income for the site owners.

In essence, yes. But, many other hoggers get carried away. Take me for example. There was a thread and I offered MY interpretation of a part of the US Constitution. I ended up stairs in The Attic to sulk and pout. I learned my lesson and avoided making the same mistake again. I do have one curiosity. I would like the Admin to send me an PM so we can share some insights.

I did send the Admin an apology. I asked if we could chat and I never received a reply. It is better to leave well enough alone, especially since I’m a newbie.

I see you there on occasion, one of the good guys, thoughtful posts that do not fit attic SOP.

What was your crime?

I had some education and instruction in High School about the United States Constitution. This was in preparation for Law Classes when I went off to college. Most people have never read or even studied law. Many people have intentionally perverted the nature and substance of The Constitution. I basically reiterated what I had learned and just intended to add my two cents if you will. As a result, this became a heated thread in Chit-Chat. The Admin had promptly corrected me and I was sent to The Attic. Being new on the Ugly Hedge Hog, I learned my lesson. I am not one to be confrontational just well informed. I Thank You for your praise in me. As such I do the best I can in my vocation. I am not an attorney, but a pharmacist. I learned photography rather informally in High School in addition to history, chemistry, math, etc.

As a retired history/geography/government/Constitution teacher I can tell you that many people including so called "experts" don't know the real meaning of parts of the Constitution and defend their version like a mother wolf guarding her cubs.
And that includes the original writings and especially the Bill of Rights for which we have many writings by the members of the Constitutional Convention who wrote them in the first place explaining exactly what they meant.
Part of the confusion is that American English is a "living" evolving language in which words change meanings over time or have multiple meanings.
So when reading the Constitution and other writings out of history you must read them using the word meanings of that day and time. Not our modern meanings.

I think a year long course in Constitutional law and another year long course in basic economics should be part of every high school curriculum.

The Constitution and its 27 Amendments established a very different form of government from what much of our population THINKS we have, or should have. Only by reading and studying the original documents within the framers' contexts do we get a proper understanding. Thousands and thousands of frivolous lawsuits and other arguments could be avoided with better education. People might even behave better towards their fellow Americans if they truly understood!

As an economics major, I know how poor an understanding the general public has regarding the US and world economies. It's dreadfully ignorant!

Our Law Enforcement agencies should provide continuing education to their members, far to many tax dollars, mine and yours, have been shelled out to victims because of their ignorance of the Bill of rights.
