All three of these work well, but the first and the last are my favorites. I like both for entirely different and non-competing reasons!
Ha, yes. Glad I'm not the only one who can't decide Just teasing, Bill. I'm delighted you enjoyed and appreciate your opinion!

Thanks so much for your time, Frank. The patchy fog was real, coming up from the bottom of a small canyon in near-freezing temps.

Here is a color version, with the HDR layer for a bit of grit. It was one of those scenes with too many editing options to make a firm commitment

Both wonderful shots!

You know me Linda, colour by choice. As Frank said, it helps the chapel (even though it’s not the chapel colour that does the job, if you see what I mean). With the b&w I’d darken the near hedge to emphasise its line through the image and increase the contrast of the chapel. It’s a super image, well worth the effort you’ve put in - my suggestions are just personal choice of course.

Gray is best, the greedy green steals the show. The main action turmoil story of the photo is fog monster with eye and mouth that will continue to consume the hill across from the shack. The shack is actually a small church as we see the cross on top... so the Fog Monster is the evil threatening to consume the religious good after it finishes eating the hill. Easter Classic subtle Easter message filled with classic symbolism**...Linda... well done.

Suggest the far left entry hill field area be brought up about 3/4 of the so from there is the foreground base line ends just under the as is fence post hump on the far right. Thus the field is more well defined as a triangle. Too much of the foreground adds nothing.

** The gray photo reminds me of a Thematic Apperception Test. Does this photo project the subconscious dynamics of Linda's personality and her fear of fog and obsession with UV antifog lens filters?

Like all your work this is beautifully done. My eye keeps getting pulled up to all the bright bald sky at top, so I (perhaps alone) would crop off the 1/4 of the image just above the tree line to put more emphasis on the chapel and foreground. Just my thought.

Your keen eye for detail is much appreciated, Dave! I like doing little dodges and burns, so I shall happily address your suggestions

The TAT Test? ROTFL I am always delighted by your wit, Don, and I always read your comments, regardless of whose topic.

I did a quick crop and like that idea very much.

Many thanks for continuing to support Digital Artistry section.

Thanks very much for your time and interest, Wham. Below is a crop with both yours and Dpullum's suggestions, but not yet with magnetoman's because the cat is in my lap so I can't go get my wireless mouse from the closet, and it's too early in the morning to see what I'm doing anyway

Though I usually prefer my big skies, I think this aspect works very well. Thanks again!

Linda, beware of cats, they are masters at training humans and controlling us. Cats are know to be predictors of mice wireless or not.

Indeed, I try to inject humor when possible, you take it well.

Life became much easier once I admitted that Stella was Queen.

She was three and a half months old when I adopted her in December 2021, and after 12 years with a perfect dog (Trixie) and nearly 15 years before that with another near-perfect dog, and my being much older now...well, you can imagine

I really like the first (monochrome) photo, Linda - very effective!
