A few years back, Aust hosted the G8[I think] summit in Sydney & a bunch of clowns dressed up as Osama Bin Laden & his entourage. They attempted to enter the precinct, presumably to attend the meeting. They got much further through security than they had expected but it was the side kicks of O-B-L that got arrested & the main man was left to wander around. It embarrassed the hell out of security & the group were eventually smacked on the hands. They were lucky they weren't gunned down.
Amazing what people do for kicks.

I think the nurse pranked us all. What a perfect time to commit suicide. Make the whole world upset, including the royal family. Not beyond the realm of possibility for a despondent personality which she must have been.

P.S. Nancy...a serious prank that could have gone wrong? The Salahis crashing a State Dinner.

The biggest prank will be to find out that the Nurse is not really dead!

When my wife was in the hospital last month, the hospital asked me for a password that friends and relatives could use to get information on her condition. If the caller didn't have the password, they wouldn't get any information.

And yeah, I do blame the nurse. You don't commit suicide and leave two kids behind. You don't do that to your kids.

However, I do not think the callers are responsible for her death.

So who do you think are then???..

The phone company. They let the call go through. Sounds like a lawsuit against the A. G. Bell family.

England has British Telecom Jerry and not any Bell company or subsidiary. It used to be the British Post Offiice but telephony got split off years ago as a seperate entity. My original query still stands as to what were the Secret Service Agents doing that were supposed to be protecting the Royal Family? And what ever happened to hospitol protocols for release of information?

The nurse ( a mother of two) who took the hoax call from 2 Austailian Djs has been found dead. The circumstances of her death have not been released as yet. What are the members views on people who find it funny to, Ring the Emergency Services with these types of calls. These calls are on the increase e.g. Ambulances, Fire Engines even Air Sea Rescue Services etc are all suffering with these mindless hoax calls. When I first read about the antics of the 2 Djs I couldn't see the humour in ringing busy hospital staff pretending to be someone they weren't. I wonder how these two feel today..ps: The video is still on Austrailian network and utube.I just dont get it...

I just saw that on the news last night and still can't believe people are that hard skinned and thickheaded to pull stunts like that.

Excellent point, SteveR. I've felt this way about suicides for a long time.

One thing none of you seem to understand is that there are policies in place to guard your personal health information. Would you want the world to know what is happening to you if you were hospitalized? In the healthcare system you are not allowed to disclose any and I mean any information about any patient in the care of the hospital to anyone without the consent of that patient. Yes, you will lose your job immediately. You all need to put your self in this position and would you want everyone to know why and what is happening to you while in the hospital. Your healthcare information is protected and should be. If you say you don't care who knows...the next time you are in the hospital we will call the radio and tv stations and announce why you are there and exactly what is happening to you and see how you react. Everyone is entitled to privacy no matter their status. So this nurse was really put under pressure as the world...not just a couple of people and have a write up in her file...the people around the WORLD knew that protected information was given out. The DJs also knew they should not have that information or they would not have called in the first place to try and get through. They played on this nurse and not only cost her the job she was in but her life as she was not only going to lose her job but then to have the WORLD judge her....could any of you handle that one???? Being in the setting of healthcare I understand why she did what she did and I do not believe she had underlying mental issues. If you are in the healthcare work place you will certainly understand this and I think the DJs also knew or why was this called a prank??? Screw who might answer the phone and we will see if we can screw anyone else we can fool....good for you..you got through and who did you really screw?? Hope someone does that to you when you are in the hospital and announces to the WORLD why you are there.

Actually, no real medical information was given out if you go back and listen to the tape. All that was mentioned was that she was "resting comfortably." Harldy medical information.

Who gave permission to say that? Yes that is giving information that should not be given out. Nothing about the patient should be given out whether she was comfortable or not. You cannot give any information out without permission from the patient. You cannot even say the patient is there without permission. If you are admitted into the hospital you will be ask if you want anyone to know you are there. If you say no you become a privacy patient and you cannot even acknowledge you are there. I realize they are public people but that does not mean you can just give information out. This person knew that her job was on the line when this came out and would be most likely let go and it would not only be known by close coworkers but the WORLD. How would you handle that one? Are you stable enough to handle it and then to find another job knowing this happened ...who is going to hire you? In the medical world this is not a good thing and the DJs knew that or they would not have even tried to do what they did.

No but you cannot give out ANY information about that patient not matter what it is including they are there if they have not signed that you can say they are there. You cannot say they are doing well, they are not doing well or whatever they are doing. Saying they are comfortable is not allowed...they are not comfortable is not allowed...you are in the bathroom is not allowed...you are sitting in a chair is not allowed...you are eating is not allowed....you are not allowed to give out ANY information.

I believe you are correct about hospital staff giving out no information in a US hospital, but do you expect those same rules to apply elswhere in the world? Maybe we should get some input from those living in the UK before shooting off without facts. Hospital rules are not the same from country to country or even state to state for that matter.

It's all about privacy & PC.
In Aust currently there's an inquiry into paedophilia in the religious orders over the past many years. It has been accepted over the years that the right to privacy in the confessional says they cannot report "Sins" to the authorities. It's one of the wrongs, hopefully, righted from the inquiry. I'm not condoning what these YOBBOs did with Kate or the nurse but There needs to be a clear separation of these issues. Some things should be revealed/ reported but surely not to the media.
If the world wants to know about my prostate or, if I had it, morning sickness, I'll put it on facebook with pic's if it gets their jollies off.
I think the Royals are a bit anal. If they ignored it, it would probably go away along with the pranksters hopefully.
