We went to visit friends in Buckeye, AZ last week. They wanted to take us to see Tombstone and the shootout at the OK Corral. The drive to Tombstone and our lunch at Big Nose Kates took so much time we missed the 2:00 OK Corral shootout. Waiting for the next show would have put us back in Buckeye after dark, so we just wandered the streets of old Tombstone watching people and enjoying the town's vintage vibe. The series I've attached includes images we made on the way to Tombstone - the Liberty United Methodist Church has been in continuous use since it was built in 1911, a year before Arizona gained statehood.

Great set of images!!!
I bet none of those buildings looked that good Back in the Day
Beautiful tour! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for looking in and your compliments 13, Dodie, NMGal, Michael, Bev, Frank, Wiley and Mike! I forgot to mention these were all shot with a Fuji X-Pro3 and Fuji 18-55 lens using the Provia film emulation setting. I actually had to apply a bit of desaturation to a couple of pics due to the color intensity and to suit my own taste. The X-Pro3 is a dream to use.

Nice set. There is no place else quite like Tombstone.
I appreciate your approval, John!

It is quite a unique place, for sure. Other than the many buildings that are colorfully painted, the board walks and unpaved streets gives one the feeling of being transported back to the 19th century. The number of people in the town on a mid-winter day makes me think the place must be really crowded during the warm season.

Fine shots! It looks like fun, I would love to visit.
