Robins AFB is a couple of miles away and is the Depot for the F-15 (as well as other aircraft and equipment). After each overhaul, they fly a test flight. We get notices when a test flight will result in a shock wave, from above the speed of sound flight, near our home. When I still worked, occasionally I would see them take off… and after clearing the runway… pull them straight up till out of sight.

Well then you got a good close look at it. Luck you. I certainly didn’t expect to catch all four in one frame. Just blind luck. My body only shoots max at 5.5 frames so I got several bursts in but not like if I had a faster shutter system. Here’s one nore from before the earlier one. I enjoyed this brief moment.

I first heard a faint sound maybe 3 miles SE. As I listened I suspected it was them. Then over a ridge I saw them, got my stuff in a pile and waited. Just got lucky they turned slightly and came right over me. No skill there just plain luck.
