Wow, wonderful set, Kathy. I can see why you took 100 photos. Beautifully done.
Thank you. It was hard to resist. And this was just one tiny area! The road is 4 miles long, and it's entire length looks like this.
lovely... It might happen here is a few months

Driving in Arizona deserts in the spring can be dangerous to your arrival to your destination! The roadsides are full of spring flowers - mostly lupine and poppies. All of the images below were shot within a couple of miles of my house along the newly opened SR 24. These flowers started blooming in late January, and after the recent rains are simply wild! Took about 100 images within 1/2 hour! I almost OD'd on colour.
Wonderfully beautiful! Thanx for sharing.
Wonderful colors. Thanks for sharing. Bev

Do you get poppies up there? I think lupine grows about anywhere
Thanks.

Thank you, Mark. Poppies are always prettier when they have some blue or purple.

My gosh, those photos are lovely. Now of course, I'm in the northern portion of AZ, not the southern, though I was born in Florence when my dad had finished with the USA and USAF and started dentistry. This would be circa 1956 or so, I sprouted in 1958.
Those photos were not Photoshopped, or anything resembling alteration? Lovely all the same! I suppose I should really purchase a decent digital camera with interchangeable lenses and pay a fortune. At this point though I am still using film, generally 35mm Portra 160. I have very good 35mm equipment bought for cents on a dollar, so there you are )))
