Do any of you process images on a cell phone?

I got an email from Skylum about their new app to process on a phone. Naturally, there's an annual or lifetime charge. People here ask about the best monitor for processing, so I can't imagine them being satisfied with a 2" sceeen on a cell phone. The only thing I use for processing is a desktop. It's called Imgmi - clever name, a palindrome.

Light Room and Photoshop Express Mobile applications are available for Free.

I would never attempt to process an image on my cell phone or my "real" camera. I only do so on a desktop with a large monitor and using a mouse.

I upload the cell phone images to cloud storage and download from there to my desktop. I wish I could do it that from my "real" camera.

You can! I picked this up a few months ago so that while I was on a trip in Israel I could copy my camera files to my phone and then upload to cloud storage. I wanted a daily backup in case of fail... or stolen camera!!

Snapseed is a great smartphone photo processor.

I use Snapseed when I take a shot with my iPhone and don't have the time or want to transfer it to my desktop for processing in Affinity. It's free, easy to use, easily integrates with my iPhone photo app and has a surprising array of processing options.

I do a lot of processing on my phone and enjoy it as much as, though in a different way, working in Lightroom on my monitor.

All this argument and banter about cellphones vs. cameras is trivial and borderline silly! There is a time and place and a level of usefulness for each.

Come on y'all snobs face up to it. Having a camera and an editing device the size of an old-fashioned cigarette case (remember those) has gotta be cool. It may never rel place a sophisticated DSLR, mirrorless camer, or a medium format digital camer but none of the latter will fit in your pocket ready for instant employment- never will your desktop computer, monitor, and or laptop.

I do commercial photography for a living and use some heavy-duty gear but I am not gonna schlep any of that headwear to the supermarket, on an evening walk with my lovely wife, or to a family birthday party. If I see something I wanna shoot, out comes the cellphone, and being able to EDIT the images right on the device is very convenient and loads of fun. It's OK to be a professional, an amateur, and a snapshooter all rolled up in one. It's not a case of multiple personality disorder.

Some folks are so wrapped up in their high-end gear and some kind of perfectionism about their photography that they stopped having. Some folks ask me why I am still working after 13 years after the "normal" retirement age. I tell you that I am having too much fun!

If you have a smartphone of any brand with a camera, just download Snapseed, ToolWiz Photo, and a few other FREE apps and have some fun! Unless you really want or need to, don't bother with paid or premium apps or features- the free ones are quite surprising.

By the way- many kids get started with these apps and get into basic photo-editing, special effects, textures layers, etc, and then go on to more advanced equipment and software.

Attached: Granddaughter at holiday time and visit to an "antique" theme park. On the fireplace shot- when we stopped for lunch, I added the fire and smoke and adjusted the levels. Some apps even "frame" the images! FUN!!! Both are Galaxy phone shots.

If you subscribe to the Adobe photographers package it includes the Lightroom mobile app. I don’t use it a lot but occasionally, if I want immediate access to post something I’ll upload a photo from my camera over WiFi and process it Lightroom on my phone.

For the Sony camera fans and owners, Sony has a new to me system that involves cell phones in the workflow. They are calling it "Creator's Cloud".

Actually I scoffed at the Idea until I explored basic editing on my iPhone11... The options almost reminded me of the basic screen in ACR for RAW files... Worked really well just tweaking up the cell clicks... I can almost see the option for presets etc... coming down the pike.

Proving again that the Matrix does strange things, I found myself editing in the phone some RAWs I shot with it some days ago while waiting for a hair job.

As usual, I used Snspseed

When I opened the Apple App store to down load Snapseed, I found an app called Object Removal that does what I was asking about. Easy to remove an object from a pic. The only problem is that it has a cost of $7.99 a month or $79.00 for a year. Sad.

Read my statement again. Snapseed in Apple app store is ALSO free. The other app was not free.
