It's a great strap. I like to use it when riding my MTN bike. set strap so camera is riding at small of back, then easy to swing up to take a shot. Never had an issue with loose screw, but always good to check.

The Peak Design Slide or Slide Light straps would probably meet your needs. They are very popular and highly recommended.

Joby makes a great strap along the same lines. I wear it while riding my mtn. bike. sits at the small of the back and easily pulls up for quick shots. Good quality too.

I use the Peak Design Slide light camera straps for all my Sony bodies, A7RIV, A1, A7SIII.

But, and this is very important, I do not wear cameras dangling from my neck anymore. JUST DONT DO THAT.

I have had to have two major neck surgeries due to cervical and nerve damage from years of cameras and lenses dangling off my neck. I have almost suffered paralysis from the neck damage from years of cameras around my neck, especially with heavy lenses.

Use these straps from shoulder across your chest, or on shoulder only. Or get waist or hand straps. Please dont go through what I went through.

KEEP THOSE CAMERAS OFF YOUR NECKS, PLEASE

Cheers and best tp you all.

I have used the original "Nikon" straps that came with my cameras, D40, D3500, D7100 and D600, purchased in that order. Since each one has gotten larger and heavier, including the corresponding lenses, I find my neck starts to really ache after shooting for a couple of hours. I tried going without a strap but get paranoid of dropping and damage. My last purchase of a 80-200 2.8 AF-D New to go on the D600, or even the D7100 convinced me I need to come up with alternative. I do use a tripod alot but love to hike into areas for that special look. Would like to hear opinions about shoulder straps or hand straps. I do use a quality back pack but would love to be camera ready to get that perfect shot of the bear that runs me down. Thank you.

I use Black Rapid straps exclusively.

I Never use a manufactured camera strap! It’s an invitation for thief's to cut and steal your camera before you even know it! Why advertise unless it’s an Ego thing? I use Optech or Any brand that doesn’t say what my expensive camera brand is.

When you own a Canon EOS, you fear nothing and no one. Women want to be with me. Men want to be me.

We are more often frightened than hurt; and we suffer more from imagination than from reality. Fearing the urban legend of thieves cutting camera straps is a rather sad fear to labor under.

Thieves that are going to remove a camera from your body are in two groups. Those in the first group are going to see that you have a camera and take it. Those in the second, more discerning group are going to evaluate the camera and lens. No one cares about the strap. Just as a hint, the first group is much larger than the second group. Don't worry about the strap, and don't be foolish enough to use one made around a steel cable.

I use more than one camera strap depending on what is attached to the camera. I suggest you check out the Peak Design Slide camera strap; the Black Rapid Sport strap with an added third party Quick Release clamp; and OpTech Pro camera straps, the widest one they make. I use all tree.

You can’t go wrong with Black Rapid. I have using one for several years with no issues and no neck pain carrying a Canon with a 500 mm lens.

I use what works for me. I've been using their products for over 20 years. Upstrap. https://journeycamera.com
Made in the USA by a very ethical company.

I have been using the Black Rapid for several years (currently with my D500) and recommend it highly. There are several models available so you can pick the one that best fits you and your needs.

What I like about it is that it keeps your camera handy and instantly ready while your hands are completely free. Getting the camera to shooting position is quick and effortless.

The chief downsides are (1) the screw that attaches to the tripod mounting hole can and may come loose. I have developed a habit of checking it for tightness quite often so that has never been a problem for me. (2) Some people don't like the camera to be hanging freely at their side. That doesn't bother me but it is a deal-killer for some folks.

You can eliminate the loose screw problem with an RRS camera plate or L Bracket. RRS plates have a hole for an QD connector which you then put on the Rapid R camera strap in place of the screw. Then you just pop it in and push a button to release it. Easy transfer to a tripod then also. Love it after years of camera strap and connector frustration and wasted expense. Straps are like tripods, do it right the first time and save money.
