It actually doesn’t work like that. There are no individual notifications. When you comment on a post that thread gets added to your watch list. When someone else posts in the thread since the last time you read it you’ll get a notification, no matter who is quoted.

Thankfully we have seasoned veterans like you watching over the herd to make sure no one steps out of line. Thank you for your input. I am now a much better person for it. I will never do that again.

That’s a beautiful attitude to have when someone gives you helpful information.

One fof the worst feature of my Nikon D5600 is the manner in which a strao attaches to the camera. The provided strap is a dinky strap that attaches using a ribbon. I deep-sixed the ribbon right away. I bought two snap swivels at a fishing-tackle store, attached the swivles to the camera using the slots provided for the Nikon-supplied ribbon strap, then attached the aftermarket strap to the ring on the swivel. Works like a charm and never twists itself into a rope as the Nikon strap did.

If you want to get a different strap, just call up Etsy. They appear to have a couple of hundred varieties of straps for sale.

My original straps stay new inside the camera box. Never felt the urge to tell the world what I am shooting with. That said, I find the Optech brand a good value. Seldomly use a strap around my neck. Usually wrap it around my hand or over my shoulder. When using a long lens (mainly for sports) I use the Optech crossbody sling style. Good if you are not moving a lot. But yes, always have something to prevent that nice lens to hit the floor.

My go to also! Great quality and price. I also have their hand strap that goes on my wrist when on a quick walk around! I don't think you can go wrong with OP/Tech!! Dan

I agree. However, I do put it around my neck. I've used the Optech brand on 5 Nikon bodies and never had an issue. The spongy, springy, wetsuit-like material cushions the weight and minimizes jarring. I have battled a herniated disk in neck for 3 decades and without the Optech I wouldn't be carrying a camera around from my neck. I say that in earnest. I have shot 12 hour weddings and hiked some serious terrain and come home exhausted without neck pain. As they say... no guarantees but I wont give mine up. I have several other camera carrying pieces but my camera bodies all have Optechs attached.
