Darn, I wanted to see the Belly Dancers. A little too high-key for me.

I’ll lower the key when I get to the belly dancers SHG. Some might say they will do that without my assistance but I don’t agree!

Colin was photographed as he accompanied The Sultan's Sirens, who were busy belly dancing in a woods - but I knew you wouldn't be wanting to see them, so I concentrated on the musician! Of course the effect is created in Ps. Not as 'loose' as watercolour effects you might be used to seeing on concept art forums but a style that suits me. Any thoughts on the result are welcome.

Belly dancers or not, a delicately faded background would have enhanced the image for me. . .
However, as a demonstration, the water color effect is quite realistic and artfully carried out. Very well done! . .

Well there’s the rub see FH, if it was really a watercolour painting, why would the background be faded? Admittedly a faded effect would be ‘modern concept Ps’ but not really a replica watercolour, if you see my point. In this case though it was never going to be a completed painting, either way.
Thanks for your thoughts and comments, they’re much appreciated.

Just right for me, don't do anything to the background

Got your point, magnetoman. Was just expressing my subjectivity.
