Are you German? When I went to Germany in 2003 for some training I saw they mostly use the track ball and not mouse. I asked them why not mouse? They said their country is clear and doesn't have mice like the US.

Australia recently had a ridiculously huge mouse problem, with seas of them running around. I bet you never saw a sea of mice. If you saw such a sea, it would be a see to remember.

Logitech makes great products, and I especially like their cordless mice and keyboards.

I wanted to use one with this Chromebook, but I can't get one to work. I have a small, old Kensington wireless mouse, and that worked immediately. The wheel action isn't smooth though, so I tried a Logitech. Then another, and another...

I've used these on many computers, but sometimes, they will just not connect. I have them on my Macs, and they work fine. I have both the Unified and the older kind, 310, 705, and 510, and not one will connect. I' open to suggestions.

You need a driver for the Logitech mouse.

I've never used a driver. They say you take it out of box, connect it, and use it. I think it's just not ready for the Chromebook.

It's not the mouse that needs the driver. It's the version of chrome.

Logitech wireless devices sometimes need a driver downloaded to your computer. I have three Dell laptops and two of them required the download and installation and the third was plug and play. Just go to the Logitech website and enter your device and download. I did it without help so it had to be easy. Good luck.

I can imagine a Want Ad - "Wanted: Driver for mouse. Mickey needs a reliable driver to take him around the town of Chromebook. Good pay, good benefits, and all the cheese you can eat."
