Logitech makes great products, and I especially like their cordless mice and keyboards.
I wanted to use one with this Chromebook, but I can't get one to work. I have a small, old Kensington wireless mouse, and that worked immediately. The wheel action isn't smooth though, so I tried a Logitech. Then another, and another...
I've used these on many computers, but sometimes, they will just not connect. I have them on my Macs, and they work fine. I have both the Unified and the older kind, 310, 705, and 510, and not one will connect. I' open to suggestions.

What brand is your Chromebook? Maybe they make a mouse that will work.

Get a Windows laptop or a mouse designed for a Chrome book.
You may need to check with logitech website to get the mouse driver for chrome os.

Dell. According to what I've read online, the Logitech mice should be plug and play.

I just looked it up, Amazon sells third party wireless Chromebook mice for as little as $6, and Logitech brand wired and wireless Chromebook models starting at $9. Read the blurb to make sure the model says Chromebook in the list of supported devices. The higher-end and specialty business, accounting, graphics, photo and gaming ones probably don't pair with a Chromebook. And would die of embarrassment if you somehow did manage to get it to work.

Thanks. I'll take a look. I'm surprised the old Kensington mouse works, but I don't see an On/Off switch. : )
Taking a look, I see they all have four-day delivery. So much for Prime. What I don't like about doing a search on Amazon is getting products I didn't search for. The page shows mice for Chromebooks, but it also shows mice for Windows. Now all I have to do is decide if I want corded or cordless, black or a color, small or large. I see my day in planned.

Sure "Old K" has an off switch, remove the battery.
Get the biggest honking one they have in the brightest, most jarring color so it is easy to find and see without your glasses.
And best of all, NO ONE will want to "borrow it".

Yeah, I'll remove the battery and then misplace it. I'll see how long the battery lasts when it's not doing anything.

I have been using a Logitech Wireless trackball for a decade or two. I switched to a trackball since my desk never had room to swing a mouse. The Ergo trackball has two channels and a pushbutton to switch between them. So when I'm using my MacBook and my Win10 laptop side by side it can be easily switched between them. I suspect that feature could be included in a mouse but I've never looked for it since I like my trackball.
It has a rechargeable battery so I just plug it in for an hour or two every few weeks and it's good. Uses a USB cable so I plug it into the computer.

Are you German? When I went to Germany in 2003 for some training I saw they mostly use the track ball and not mouse. I asked them why not mouse? They said their country is clear and doesn't have mice like the US.

Not directly. I have ancestors from Germany but they arrived here in the 1700s and early 1800s
I only use the trackball because I got used to it in the '90s. I find that for me, I can move a cursor more precisely with the trackball than I can with a mouse.

I have two mice and a keyboard from Logitech that have 3 channels each. One mouse is battery and the other is rechargeable. A charge lasts me a couple of months and the battery one, well it is 1.5 years old and still going.

My wireless Logitech trackball came with a USB dongle, but when I got my MacBook M1, I was able to connect without the dongle using Bluetooth. Never tried Bluetooth with the Win10 laptop but it would probably work. If it works with a wireless trackball, I would expect a similar ability for a Logitech wireless mouse.
