Is it just on Apple devices?
Is it just in the browser?
Does it only affect Facebook?
I have apple devices but use the Facebook app and have not noticed any problem.
I will try using browser.
I do have Apple. It does it on my iPad and iMac.

My copy of Firefox is current, and it was doing it way prior to the past few updates.
Since two other browsers are also doing it, I would suspect something that they put in their page coding.
Well, wish it would get fixed!!

I have the same issue which started 3 days ago and have not done anything to my computer so I think it’s a FB problem but I don’t know how to report it to FB.

Under your profile you can report a problem. I have done that…

AMEN!!!!
SO ANNOYING!
At first I thought is was me because I delete/hide all the ads. I thought they were trying to sneak them past me.
Good to know I'm not the only one getting upset.
I did report it and ask for a call. Not really expecting one…

If viewing on an iPad, why not try the stand alone app?
I have the same issue, but only when I use a browser.
Tried the app, same thing…🤬

There is a place under your profile where you can report a problem, maybe if they get enough messages they will fix it!

heres one way that may stop it. Load windows, bring up FB.
go to the pages you are interested in. DO NOT start scrolling..
count to 10, let the page fully load. Then start scrolling. ( this is a FB problem in some areas and they are working onit or so imtold)
thats one fix, if you are using windows, go to your mouse control panel. and be sure its set to show one page at a time. hope one of these works for y ou
And like magic, FB is working properly for me again. Perhaps enough complaints got through to them.

My FB feed has been randomly jumping down like that for weeks!
I normally use the scroll wheel, and I found that it doesn't seem to do it if I use the page down button....
Must be a code compatibility anomaly with Firefox.
Are you using Firefox?
I've not tried it with another browser.
It is annoying.
First of all, make sure that you turn your devices off completely. For example, closing the lid to a laptop computer does n ot turn it off. Only pressing and holding the on/off button for several seconds will actually turn it off.
Secondly, use some outside software to scrub your file structure, and in the case of a PC, the registry. On my PC I use the free versions of Wise Registry Cleaner and Wise Disc Cleaner. Here is a link to Apple's page on freeing up storage space which gets at least partially at this problem.
