The earth has been warming since the last ice age, and the vast majority of scientists have little idea if it's ending and we're heading into a global cooling cycle. It's highly unlikely MAN has anything to do with it, other than to build insulated homes and heat them/cool them with fossil fuels.

Meanwhile the crooks are having a ball making tons of money from failed energy sources like wind and solar. Now they want to ban gas stoves and replace them with inefficient and expensive electric. The entire hoax is laughable if nothing else.

Just another anti-science / conspiracy rant. So much misinformation here - no one is banning gas stoves, and wind and solar farms are operating successfully all over the US and world generating power - glad to provide that data if you like. And what has any of that to do with climate change? You should check your facts and post reliable sources as I did (my posted data was from NOAA and NASA) - where are yours?

I am sorry, but someone here does not know how science works.
Science is a process of making conclusions based on what is understood at the time, and then revising it in the face of better data if its found to be necessary. That is not a weakness, it is a strength. Science is the best tool we have for finding the most probable truth, but the process of "getting there" is definitely a bit messy, and so some who don't understand the process can find it to be alarming. Still, we can do no better.

Scientists used to say, based on early and incomplete information ...
1. That proteins were the source of genetic information. Then the facts said it was DNA, and they revised their theory.
2. That stomach ulcers were caused by over-stress. But then (amazingly) it is learned they are mainly caused by bacteria that live in the stomach. Antibiotics are now a critical part of treatment!
3. That the continents have always been as they are now. But then its learned the sea floor is like a cracked egg shell, with vast under-sea volcanos producing new crust. The continents are slowly moving.
**4. That burning of fossil fuels suspends light-blocking aerosols in the atmosphere, and that our future would be global cooling. But now we know -- with great confidence -- that the atmosphere and oceans are heating up due to rising greenhouse gases. We also know with absolute irrefutable certainty that the only source of these added gases is the burning of fossil fuels. One fact is that the isotopic signature of the added gases matches that of organic life, and the only thing releasing those extra gases is coal, oil, and natural gas which are the organic remains of past life (this one is kind of technical. It normally takes longer to describe).
Cooling by aerosols is an effect, but its not enough to offset the heat-trapping effects of greenhouse gases. Meanwhile no one can deny that winters are milder, fires are insanely worse, the ice is retreating, and hurricane season is longer. Exactly as predicted now.

It is a difficult thing to change ones mind in the face of data that says you are wrong. Everyone experiences resistance when put in that spot. One experiences a physiological reaction that is very much like being attacked. But the current data says that global warming is real and that we are the cause of it. Unfortunately it is the truth.

Thank you. But I was hoping this myth about global warming being a hoax could be laid to rest by now.

Me too Mark, but as you have seen (and will likely see again), sadly, it is still alive. It’s one of those discussions that even though I know the facts and arguments that I present likely won’t change any minds, it is such an existential crisis that I just can’t keep quiet. I can understand differences of opinion, but I’m struggling with what appears to be the current anti-science trend among some; as if science is yet another conspiracy, and it makes me truly afraid for our futures.

People believe what they want to believe. Facts don't matter.

The earth is flat.
Men never landed on the moon.
Lizard people live among us.
People have been abducted by aliens.
The Holocaust didn't happen.
Blood inside you is blue and only turns red when it comes into contact with oxygen.

I know or have known people who believe or believed in all of those falsehoods.
Did you know that King Kong really did climb the Empire State Building.

Well, if you surf through the gobbledygook on the internet, and stop drinking the kool aid from the media you will learn a lot, you obviously haven't.
Washington state has already banned gas from new developments and plenty of states as well as the Feds are planning it. DAGS and you will be able to read all about it. First hit I got just now was:

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/energy-environment/gas-stove-bans-rundown.

I guess they could be lying, but I heard about it and never been to that site. Bet you could find a bunch of verification of this with little effort.

As for the entire man-made global warming hoax, there are a lot of links that discuss it in scientific detail. I'm not going to do research for you, wouldn't make any difference anyway once you've drunk the Kool-Aid. BTW, NOAA and NASA are FAR from reliable sources of info.

I thoiught it was laid to rest when the global cooling hoax didn't pan out, and the global warming hoax didn't pan out so they decided to go with climate change hoping the luddites wouldn't notice.
Yes climate changes but no part of it is Anthropogenic.

Yes, I heard about that. I think there is even film of it - from, like, 1933.
