Great set, Chief. I really like the Limpkin series. Our parks suffered the same fate 3 years ago when we got hit by two hurricanes, a major flood, and a record freeze.

Nice photos (as usual) Chief, thanks for the nice photos and the update on the park. I hope the heck they knew what they were doing in removing the weir. It was sure a magnet for attracting a lot of birds for close shots.

the weir was intentionally removed a year or so ago , i don't remember the thinking behind removing it

Well, that's interesting! Maybe I should have inquired at the visitor center. We were there about a year ago and they were doing some work there at the weir. I had no idea that they were going to remove it. I've gotten some really nice bird photos from there! That's a real shame.

Thanks, Dan. That's what I thought at first too. But there was NO movement at all. They looked like a pile of black Lincoln Logs out there. Couldn't tell head from tail. I'm not even sure how many there were!

Yes they can be. Usually, they make no noise at all when I have seen them!

Thanks, Ken. Yeah, I like the Limpkins. Are the parks making a come-back?

Thanks, Jeff. Yes it was. I wish I had thought to make inquiries at the visitor center. With all the damage done, I was surprised to see that the Canopy Walk was still intact.

Thanks, Sylvia. Yes, ours too! But given some time, I hope it will come back as good as ever!

Glad you made it back to the park Keith. I knew it had sustained some damage but didn't know it was that bad.
