Think about Thermionic Emission... Set up a Vacuum tube amplifier in a creative, darkened composition, and photograph the energy transfer of electron charges.... I am preparing to build an amplifier kit and things of this nature are presently on my mind.... A nice " creative " glow would go over well ....

And I assume you're going to build a nuclear collider in your spare time MrBob

I have a quandary. The current photographical theme for this year is "Energy". I have been thinking about how to portray this. My best thoughts are 1. flowing water eg a waterfall; or 2 some fast moving object eg a football player. To me, both of these don't seem outstanding. I was wondering if the brilliant minds on UHH had some better ideas.
Thanks!!

I am in the dark as to "current photographical theme for this year?" Whose theme or contest? Where described--rules--displays--awards, etc.?-------ew (If a UHH event---there is no heading?------------)

How about static electricity causing a young child's hair to flow all over while showing an excited expression? Maybe also holding a battery-powered lightbulb or an open book with the light in the book while the child is looking at itand all with a darker background (think of reading the book in the evening)?

A nuclear power plant, cooling tower ,or Paddle wheel, on a grist mill wheel, also Automobile doing a "Burn out". Basketball player dunking a ball. A sunrise.
Let your mind run wild etc. Hope this helps start your creative juices flowing.

How about a Tsunami or an avalanche. There's energy there.

Or perhaps you can somehow sneak into where they are doing the hot fusion experiments we are hearing about. Of course, cold fusion is safer, but a lot more boring.

Your opportunities may depend on where you live: ocean waves, waterfall, wind farm, a match at the instant it lights, outdoor thermometer showing +120 degrees [even if you have to use a heat gun to cheat], Tesla in flames, large bonfire, storm clouds moving in, rocket launch, LNG tanker with the rounded cryo tanks; possibilities are endless.

Obviously there is no "theme of the year---energy." Nobody here on UHH has been able to answer in two days---whose theme of the year and google shows no photographic them of the year or of "energy" as being one. And if in some club---somewhere----then it is probably politically GREEN ENERGY. If a contest---show some solar panels or windmills to win with the judges who named such a contest?-----(In reality show someone in Europe---freezing?)------ew

Sunday night---another day and the "THEME OF THE YEAR" is not identified. Whose theme? Even--what year?-----------Yet people post suggestions as to what is energy for a visual entry into such theme or contest. Maybe someone will actually reveal -----------Whose Theme?------------------
