Poor acceleration indeed! Try toting' your Dad around! These were taken around '52 or '53.

Looks like you spent your early years in suburbia where station wagons were the car to have. Great memories of bygone days!

I had one of those. Looked just like the one in your photo. It was left in the yard by the fence of a house that we moved into in 1950. I was 5 years old.

Yours would probably be worth a grand to $1500 today. I like the one you had.

My red Irish mail was a 1 seater that had a back and forth pumping handle to motovate and you steared with your feet on the front axel that turned. Loved to spin the rear tires and leave black lines on the walk. I was about 5 when I got it from grandpa.

Here's me as the one year old engineer in 1952. It appears to be some kind of art-deco train engine.

There were some engines made like or similar to that back in the day. This is the LNER Class A4 4468 Mallard. It is officially the fastest steam locomotive, reaching 126 mph (203 km/h) on 3 July 1938.

Spectacular aerodynamic design - and the height of high-tech back in the day - beautifully depicted 💙💙💙💙💙
