Cell phone cameras are REAL cameras, so this does nothing to improve that.

What it does do is provide a DSLR feel and easier to hold and control the phone. I like it for that and preferred one for my wife who has a hard time holding the phone for photos.

Thanks for sharing this. At $20 it's not a real life off it's junk. But coming from Adorama, I don't think so. I trust them.

I'll report back how it is and how it works. I'll probably catch a lot of flack, but if it works and helps my wife it's great. We're poor and can not afford a point and shoot for her she really is not a photographer and only takes pics of her grandkids sometimes.
Cell phone cameras are REAL cameras, so this does ... (show quote)

I will be interested in how it works for your wife. I do want to know if those buttons and dials make it easier to use.

Cameras don't make pictures, they record them.

The cellphone's popularity is that it’s so damn easy to us. Anyone can pick it up and snap a picture with hardly any effort at all and some would proudly post their photos on this forum where they’d match up well with much of what I see posted here.

Get an Emily at Paris cellphone camera.
It has a lens attached so you can put your fingers in front of it.

I had to Google that.

I agree and made a similar statement in another post not long ago. You notice that when the new models come out very little if anything is done to improve the phone; the improvements are made to the camera.

Thanks for looking and commenting!!

This is from a Pakarklis video. Note how he holds the phone. It’s very stable. For portrait shots, simply rotate clockwise and support underneath with right hand, use left thumb to make shot.

I will have to try that; my current lazy method doesn't always work out so well.

My DSLRs are my preference but sometimes the cell phone camera is better than nothing.

I was at a football game taking pics of my step- son in the band, I have an Apple 13. When I enlarged the image, I did not get grain but a muddled image enlarged.

The cell phone is not my preference for photos that I am going to want to post process but if you don't have your preferred DSLR/mirrorless camera it's better than nothing.

True but is the quality of the cell phone photo sufficient to blow up 11 x 14 or larger and hang on the wall?

Yes they are. I've seen 16x20 or even larger prints from phone cameras that were beautiful.

Then I must be doing something wrong because when I try to PP one and crop in it is not an acceptable photo any longer. Then again I don't have a Pro Max I just have a regular. Had I opted for the better camera package it may have made a difference.

My iPhone 12 is an improvement over the 6 I had and the only reason I upgraded is that 3G was done away with and the phone no longer worked well.

Hi. I’m sorry if you have that feeling about my comment.
I am 68. I started photography when I was 20 and started at the local University.
I worked in 35mm film, 2 1/4 film and 4x5 sheet film.
I shoot weddings, football games, portraits and wildlife.

I haven't looked but you can be sure that I don't need this thing. I carry my iPhone in my shirt pocket and I am certain that a handle wouldn't fit. Y'all have a Happy New Year now that Christmas is over.
