How do you decide which cell phone takes the best pictures? You could ask over 600,000 people to cast more than 21 million votes on pictures they were shown. Marques Brownlee, on YouTube, did just that. He took pictures with various cell phones and then had people online evaluate them. Take a look at his test. You may be surprised by the results.
There's no pixel-peeping, and no looking at them under a microscope. Normal people looked at these pictures online and picked the ones they thought were the best.

Just as with dedicated cameras, the key is to match the phone to the type of shooting you prefer. As an example, if you do a lot of videos, the iPhone 14 may suit you more. OTOH, if telephoto is your thing the Galaxy S22 Ultra may be your best option. Keep in mind each brand tends to leapfrog the others with each iteration.
In my opinion if you need to ask strangers what is best for you, it doesn't matter what you select.
Thanks for the post, very interesting.

Unfortunately, both Bigfoot and alien spacecraft emit a type of radiation that make clear photography impossible.
FINALLY, someone has explained that great mystery to me. THANK YOU!

Jerry, the best cellphone camera is the one that does not blur the images taken of Bigfoot or the alien space crafts.😜
These are the ones most prone to Camera Shake. Luckily, Topaz Sharpen AI 🤣will be all the proof we need.
It's easier than all that, Jerry. The best one out there is one that if it falls in the toilet when flushing and doesn't short out and still takes pictures that are halfway in focus; that's the best one out there. Hint: it is none of the Apple phones.
I found the study amazing. Well thought out and well executed. They certainly have a large enough sample set to be statistically significant. Thanks for sharing OP.
Interesting. Thanks for posting. But my cellphone was not included in the test. I just have to be content with being very happy with it. Motorola 5G Ace with 48MP camera.
I just bought the google pixel 6a for $299 from Target, and a week later exchanged with the samsung s22 as T-Mobile has a even exchange program. I am very happy with the s22 as it is more user friendly, and more usefull cameras. Some people comment that the 3700ma battery is small, but I find no problem at all.

I bought a Samsung S22 ultra about a year ago. It has 5 lens, it takes exceptional pictures.

Smart family. I see one of the better ones is only $449.
Unfortunately, Google has traditionally made their money by collecting information, so I have trouble trusting them.
