Doesn't have any effect on the fish or any other life..the little bit of food coloring compared to the amount of water flowing from the mountains is not even worth thinking about.

No this is not ground seepage, there is a creek that runs down that mountain side just above these rocks and flows over the rocks.

Just a thought; you know the saying there's nothing new under the sun, right? Maybe in times long past this was know and utilized; I mean, rainbow trout came from somewhere !??
