Sippy, you are the only person that I know that would come up with something like this (besides me). Do you think that we are related by someone way in our past? Happy Thanksgiving and eat some turkey, that will mean one less animal pooping

You cite a lot of impressive data that shows that the temperature on earth is rising. You dismiss the effect of solar radiation because studies have shown that it is relatively the same over some period of time. NASA, whose studies you reference also published papers on long-term climate change that is influenced by the elliptical nature of the earths' orbit and changes in the precession of earth's orbit.
By dismissing the behavior of the sun, you conclude that climate change is caused by increases in CO2. That's not a given either because higher CO2 levels in the past have not led to higher temperatures. Computer models that predict a dire future due to CO2 levels cannot predict the past from actual conditions. Ever wonder why?

And having virtually all the media either believing their lies or being a party to the ruse, the misguided populace falls for it, hook, line and sinker!!! It's all been in the works for years, but few have recognized it, and they have been castigated unmercifully. I'm really afraid it may be too late to recover from the accelerating downward spiral, especially given the results of the last couple of years - in ALL areas!

Loren, do you actually believe that NASA and NOAA and EPA and NCAR, etc are part of some vast conspiracy falsifying data? Thatās just not possible, since the satellite streams of data I posted are downloaded unencrypted and anyone can look directly at the data off the ābirds. Iāve sold the storage that acquires and stores that data to those agencies and the systems that process it. Iāve seen the data streams come down in real time directly to the earth stations receiving it. In fact, I download both APT and HRPT data directly from the polar orbiters as part of my radio/satellite hobby, and I KNOW the data is real.
I think weāll just have to agree to disagree on this one because my observation has been that people have made up their minds on both sides of this controversy, and are difficult to change, even when presented with the facts, but even the politicians that denied that climate change is occurring are being forced to recognize it.

Pretty conclusive evidence that CO2 is at an all time high and that it IS related to temperature change. Yes, there have been other events that have influenced climate change, but at present CO2 is the big driver. I encourage you to read both papers and then tell what you disagree with or present contradicting data. NASA, believes it, NOAA believes it, EPA believes, NCAR believes it, NCDC believes it, and most (not all) of the worldās climate scientists believe it, so I believe it.
I certainly agree with the original premise that increasing population is one factor that drives CO2 levels, but there are others as well.

I have a difficult time believing all the data you present about the low nature of CO2 in the atmosphere over the past million years. I've seen data to the contrary. I believe that there are large numbers of people who believe in CO2 driven climate change, but they are the ones whose grant money or careers depend on the "correct view". There are also large numbers of credible scientists who hold opposing views on CO2/climate change but since their opinions are well-known, they're never asked.
I suppose that you also believe that we have less than 10 years to do something decisive on climate or we're all doomed. The fate of the earth hangs in the balance. Ever wonder why there are never any positive effects of climate change, only negative? I wonder why you never answer my questions.

The data that Iāve published is from NOAA, NASA and EPA. If youāre unfamiliar with these agencies, their workers and scientists are paid a fixed salary based on a GS pay grade and the contractors are paid based on a contract. These agencies (and salaries) are paid by Federal funds, but the āgrant gettingā thing youāre referring to are typically university studies. Those people use data produced by NASA and NOAA, but the federal employees producing and analyzing the data are paid a straight salary.
As to how long we have to react, I donāt think thereās a ādrop deadā schedule, but unless you disagree with the sea level and sea temperature data taken directly off NOAA bouys and historical records kept at NCDC and other repositories, itās clear that sea levels are rising, so the coastal cities such as Miami and NYC will eventually have to take some defensive measures or lose some very valuable properties.
Finally, post some of the data youāve seen AND the sources if you disagree with the data Iāve posted and if you believe NOAA and NASA are part of a conspiracy. Letās see the dataā¦

All of the federal agencies cited hire these people because of the views they hold. Basically, your position is trust your government to tell you the truth after so many of these same people and agencies have been found to do just the opposite. These same agencies were telling us to watch out for global cooling, then it was global warming, but since the "facts" vary, it's now climate change.

The facts have not varied, although our predictions have as we gain a better understanding of this incredibly complex system we refer to as climate. A substantial percentage of the worldās fastest computers are dedicated to studying it, and as our understanding evolves, our predictions may evolve toward greater accuracy.
Since all of those agencies have been my customers for decades, and I actually know these people, I reject the unsubstantiated idea that they hire people with their own views. The people Iāve known at NOAA, NASA and the National labs are, from seeing them up close and working with them, hired based on their skill set. They arenāt interested in politics and conspiracies - they donāt have time, theyāre just busy keeping the satellites running, the data flowing and the computers up. Again, if you can demonstrate any of this, post some evidence and the sources as I have, rather than making unsubstantiated claims.
