My laptop is quite new I got it in April this year.
It has the 11th generation I7, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX2000 GPU with 4GB of RAM. 1TB of SSD. 2560x1600 16" screen.

I would call Microsoft Tech Support & let them hook up to your computer.

Just Google something like "My (model here) can't upgrade to Windows 11" and see what comes up.

Windows 11 is OK but so is Windows 10. It is not an urgent upgrade. In Windows update there should be a message indicating if your computer is compatible.

This function must be enabled on your laptop. You may need to go into your (System Bios) and enable it.

TPM Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0. Check here for instructions on how your PC might be enabled to meet this requirement.

I agree. I had to enable it in the Bios. After, I was able to install Win11 in short order.
Mark.

The 5/8 screen format seems unusual to me, but even if true, would it matter?

It's the 16:10 which gives it a bit more height than the 16:9. Many monitors have that aspect ratio like 1920x1200 etc..

I have a HP Victus with a 16:10 screen.
It's wonderful.
