Does anyone know where i can purchase a copy of Nikon D500 for Dummies
Thank you

You would be better off getting either David Buch's Simon Stafford's book for D500.

What don't you like about the "Dummies" books?
Which one(s) are you familiar with?

If you know of an OLLIES store near you. Check there . They had a lot of dummies camera books last time I looked.
( never the ones I want though)

The Dummies books are less than thorough. I have both David Busch's and Simon Stafford's books. Both are good.

I’ll have to disagree. I don’t really look like the “Dummies” books but I think the guides by David Busch, Darrell Young and Thom Hogan are much better at explaining features and exactly how they work and suggesting settings and their reasons for them to be more valuable than the user manual. Free is great, but if you’ve spent $1500 on a camera it seems worth it to spend $30 more to get the most out of it.

I understand your desire to use a guide. I’m not offended either. What ever brings you closer to the camera is worth it.

I have gone to Ollies. Yes you can get good stuff cheap. If they have it you’ll find it in your shopping cart.

I don't see the "Dummies" or "Idiots" books at any of those. But I have never been a fan of their camera books anyway. I bought one when it was the only option and swore I'd never buy another (I do like their computer and networking books... just not their camera books.)

Among the authors of the other books, I'm only familiar with David Busch. I've had several of his books and they've been excellent. Some of the others may be fine, too.

If you have a larger or regional library, you may find a copy there. I know it won't be yours but you can get a month's worth of reading from it free. Also, many library systems can order it through corresponding systems in the case they don't have it.

Go to Nikon Support and you will find several downloadable manuals covering every aspect of the D500 operation.

The D500 is an advanced consumer/semi pro camera body intended for more experienced photographers, not beginners. Anyone requiring a book called D500 for Dummies to learn how to use it should probably have purchased a less challenging camera.
