I need help from all you Topaz users. I bought Topaz Photo AI. Tried to load up but I needed newer operating system. I loaded Monterey. My Lightroom 6 is all screwed up now. Slow isn't even close to what it is. My real question is what to do? I loaded a folder with 273 photos. Looked like it was fixing all of them. It does a real good job even though I went to bed and it was finally done when I woke up. I saved and went to my folder in Lightroom and it doesn't look like it put fixed ones back there. Where do the complete ones go after Topaz finishes with them??? HELP!!!!!!!

I have often thought God doesn’t know where Topaz puts files when it finishes them - although generally they are pretty well done when you do find them - I have pretty well liked what ever they are calling their new program - it does put the file back where it found it - that resizing doesn’t work from inside Photoshop is crazy - I have said “Topaz has very bright programmers - but - they don’t use the product”
Stan, as AZLooper said, "I found that sometimes they are at the very top or bottom of the folder, rather than next to the original".
Assuming that you are on a Windows computer:
The Topaz default is to save the "New File" in the same folder from where it came from. That is unless you changed it. If you changed the destination it will continue to send the "New Files" to the same destination you change it to.
The first thing that I would do is to open the Topaz product that you are having trouble with, then load and "process" the file with that program.
Then go to the "Save Image" and click on that. A small screen should pop-up asking if you want to "Overwrite/Return File to host editor?", The default is no - leave it that way. This keeps the original file safe and intact.
The next item on the same screen is the "New File Name". The default is the old file name plus a tag such as "denoise-standard". This will "Usually" place the "Newly Topaz Created File" next to the original file, in the same folder.
Plus there are five or more selections. Do not change any of these selections unless you have a specific reason to do so.
If this doesn't work go to the search bar enter PC, click on Pictures, then search for the original picture file name and the "New Topaz" generated file should also come up.
