I use Alexa (a gift) to listen to XM in the kitchen.
If I wanted to play through my stereo I would get a patch cable for my laptop to the stereo.
We have one vehicle subscription.

Yes, this is one way and maybe the cheapest way is by computer off the internet......but as I said I am very old school and prefer a stand alone radio and not have to have a computer running to listen ......plus my computer is a great distance from my stereo.

Since I have a metal roof, and a BIG tree clouding my sight of the southern sky on the south side of the house, I will have to get an out door antenna kit and mount the antenna on a pole (galvanized pipe) and run the wire ($$ more wire) in thu a hole in the house somewhere ........this has come to be quite a project !

And yes, I could spend more money and set up a bluetooth system. I was just going to hard wire the radio into an older Bose radio system but my main stereo would require Bluetooth because of distancing.

You may not have to put the ant outside. I had one inside and going thru several walls to the south. Worked fine.

Hi, I answered previously and went back and reread your posts. You mention that you have a subscription for your car. Subscriptions are for one radio only and it must be a Sirius or XM registered device which in your case would be your car. Yet you may stream it over any “device”. That requires an internet connection for your computer, Alexis, data on your smart phone etc…. So to listen in your car and at home without streaming from a device you will need either two Satelite radios and two subscriptions or one portable radio and docking ports for it in your house and your car which entails special installation to wire it into your cars sound system. You better call SiriusXM and have them completely explain how your subscription works. If you let it go and not pay after 3 months in your (assuming) new car, eventually they will keep lowering the price. Since I already have a subscription I let it go and ignored all of their mailings. After 6 months they just offered me 2 years at $5 per month. Good Luck
