I am old school and I would like to set up an XM radio at home - without bluetooth or internet streaming. I know this will entail an antenna and there seem to be several "radio" options - but here is the kicker part - I want to hook the audio into my stereo system using RCA jacks - CAN this be done ??

I also see that there are docking systems that use powered speakers - which is an option - but a more expensive plan B.

THANKS for any insightful comment ! ....Larry

Do you have an XM subscription? If yes, it's much easier to set up a bluetooth on your radio receiver. If not, I believe you will require an XM receiver and a paid subscription.
You can also "scrounge around" rummage sales, garage sales, etc. and find a receiver that has a lifetime XM subscription. I have one in my BMW.

You can use an app on your smartphone also.
You do not have a "radio" with bluetooth capability?

SiriusXM used to periodically offer XM radios for sale, but I haven't seen such an offer in a number of years. Of course, they require their own subscription.

I have a full subscription for my vehicle, which gives me the ability to stream on my home computer or smartphone or iPad. I have a Bluetooth-capable AM-FM receiver for my stereo system and I stream from either my phone or iPad to my home stereo via Bluetooth. If your home sound system doesn't support Bluetooth, you can buy a Bluetooth adapter, from Amazon or others, that connects to your stereo system via RCA cables.

You need an XM radio receiver. I don't know if they make one for the home. If they made one for the home it should have RCA jacks output. If they don't you can use a car receiver at home. You need a power supply and it's not diffcult to modify the car receiver to have the RCA jacks if it doesn't have those.

I just checked! It seems that the receivers offered by Sirius has the 1/8" (3.5mm) jacks but you can simply use a 3.5mm plug to RCA cable.

They make a home radio. Do not pay more then $10.00 per month. They charge way to much. When I went to cancel mine they wanted to give it to me for $6.00 per month. They are not a honest company. After I canceled they still wanted to keep charging me. Be careful.

We subscribe & have for at least the last 10 yrs -- What we have is probably the original "Delpi-11 plus antenna -- Which also doubles as both a home & an auto Sirius XM Receiver -- Realize this is probably ancient by whatever components Sirius is currently offering
BUT - It works & sounds great & yes I have it when not in my auto plugged into my Marantz pre-amp --

We really enjoy the Bluegrass Station be it in the car or out of the home audio system
