Why are my NEF images locked?

Yes I tried to import them directly. I contacted Lightroom support and they were great and solved the issue. I did not have current updates.

You need to unlock them in the camera. I've never locked mine but I know you can because I did it once by accident

But you should be able to read from a card with the lock switch on. Just not write to it.
