I wonder what is considered advertising? I am sure the OP liked the book and wanted others to read it. So yes the OP did try to get others to read the book. However, I am sure the OP doesn't have any monetary gain by doing so.
So is it or is it not advertising?

It's not difficult.

Advertising is something a vendor pays a marketing company, or individuals, to publish copy, print, TV, radio, internet, to sell a product, for the benefit of the vendor.

A review is something an individual who has no financial ties to the vendor, creates to present his opinion or assessment, of a an item, course, book etc for, the benefit of the potential customers or audience.

It's not a simple review. The OP encourage others to buy into the book. But I know he doesn't get free book or money for doing so.
What he said is close to someone who wants to advertise would say but he makes no money nor free book.

Will there be a paperback version? The book sounds interesting and I would love to read it but would love to have a lower priced version. I have put it in my Amazon "cart" so that I won't forget about it.
