Congratulations for being prepared. Obviously you found something which caught your interest and you were ready to photograph it. How many of us have seen something interesting and thought "Darn, wish I had my camera with me". I enjoyed your thistle images. Bev

Thank you NikonGal for your positive comments. I usually try to keep a camera in the truck just in case I catch or kill something I want to photograph. As I walked out onto a small dock to fish I noticed the thistles, flowers and so on. I fished for a minute and thought, if I don't do it now the wind will come up and the light will be gone. Fishing rod was put down and camera gotten from the truck.
