While fishing yesterday I noticed a number of drying thistle plants. As they have always interested me in any condition I put down my fishing rod and picked up the camera.

Please feel free to make any comments.

Thank you Chief. I am in full agreement. I stopped for a while only because on my maybe 10th cast I hooked a pretty decent fish, most likely a rainbow trout. I played him for a few minutes and he felt like a nice fish. Then he just got tired of playing and got off the hook. After that I caught two tiny yellow perch about 3 inches, more like bait fish. I decided to take a break while the trout got himself psyched up for another battle later on and the perch went to get their grandfathers.
